How to choose the small-size motor of robot?

Some parameters should be taken into consideration including power, specification, performance, material. Zhaowei company has developed some small-size motor which only used in robot area, the parameters are as follows:

Type of motor
1.Gear motor
Gear motor is the combination of normal motor and gear reducer, it can slow down speed and increase torque. To rationalise speed and torque, the motor can be applied widely to small-size intelligent robot area.
2.Stepping motor
Stepping motor is a kind of induction machine. The operating principle is to use electronic circuit to change DC to time-sharing power supply.
3.Steering engine
Steering engine is a kind of actuator which can be applied to some control systems whose angle will change frequently. Currently, there are some successful fields like airplane, model of submarine and teleoperator.
 
Points of picking:
1.Making sure robot needs speed. According to this speed, calculating the reduction ratio of reducer.
2.Calculating torque of load, then choosing the force of reducer in the light of this torque to pick the type of reducer.
