Project Difficulties: During oral treatment, the patient’s saliva, blood and spat are adsorbed into the dental handpieces. But it is difficult to clean complex turbine bearings, water inside the instrument, gas pipes and gaps, increasing the risk of cross-infection.
Achievement: The automatic damping reduction gearbox developed by ZHAOWEI adopts the turbine worm structure and planetary gearhead to lead to small volume, high torque and low noise. The whole gears and gear profile have been modified to greatly reduce the noise and the vibration impact on the performance of this module.
- It adopts the design concept and scheme of planetary gear industry- the noise and vibration can be greatly reduced as long as the precision difference is within 1 micron. The function of noise reduction can be improved for low noise of handpieces when conducting oral treatment.
- The combination of worm gear structure and planetary gearheads makes high torque possible. It helps to greatly reduce the risk of surface contamination caused by handpieces’ contact with the saliva, blood and spat of patients during operation and internal contamination of handpieces caused by the penetration of saliva and blood via the gap of the handpiece itself.
